Strategic Alignment
This position is replacement of Josephine Hooks. This position is critical to progress NPD, DTV and Sustaining testing
at Lab. Currently there is only one technician (Chris Alley) supporting 32 Lab stations which is no sustaining.
Assist the engineers in designing and validating Hillphoenix case products by conducting tests in the Engineering Test
Lab.
This technician should possess strong mechanical and electrical skills, as well as excellent problem-solving abilities.
The primary responsibilities of this role include setting up, testing, and troubleshooting refrigerated display cases in
collaboration with Test Engineers.
Summary
The technician should have a solid understanding of and experience with basic wiring practices, piping, brazing, and
fabrication to support the setup of display cases and test fixtures.
Key qualifications include:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in both electrical and mechanical areas.
- Good communication and documentation abilities.
- Capability to obtain EPA Universal certification for working with refrigerants.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented technician with experience in commercial refrigeration and supermarket
operations. They should possess knowledge and hands-on experience in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting
test and measurement equipment, including pressure transducers, data acquisition software, and temperature probes.
Additionally, the technician must have a thorough understanding of refrigerated display cases, electrical systems, and
refrigeration controls.
