VERSANT, Comcast Corporation’s (NASDAQ: CMCSA) planned spin-off, will be a leading independent publicly traded media company comprised of most of NBCUniversal’s cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025, subject to the satisfaction of customary conditions.
Position Summary:
The Analyst, Health and Welfare Benefits plays a critical role in the administration, analysis, and strategic support of the company’s self-insured health and welfare plans. This position ensures compliance, optimizes plan performance, and enhances employee experience through data-driven insights and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan Administration & Compliance
- Support day-to-day operations of self-insured medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and wellness programs.
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, and other applicable regulations.
- Assist in annual filings (e.g., Form 5500), audits, and nondiscrimination testing.
- Vendor & Carrier Management
- Liaise with third-party administrators, carriers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor service levels and escalate issues as needed.
- Participate in RFPs and vendor evaluations.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze claims data, utilization trends, and cost drivers to identify opportunities for plan optimization.
- Prepare dashboards, executive summaries, and ad hoc reports for leadership.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for health and welfare programs.
- Employee Experience & Communication
- Assist in developing and delivering employee communications, including open enrollment materials and wellness campaigns.
- Respond to escalated employee inquiries and resolve complex benefit issues.
- Project Management
- Lead or support benefit-related projects such as plan design changes, system implementations, and wellness initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Payroll, Legal, Finance, and HRIS teams.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in health and welfare benefits, preferably in a self-insured environment.
- Strong knowledge of benefits regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools, and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP).
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CEBS, PHR, or other relevant certification.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with wellness program design and incentive strategies.

- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Subject to change based on Manager discussion or business need.
