We are hiring a Software Engineer, II to join our team. You will be responsible for analyzing, developing, designing, and maintaining software for the organization's products and systems. You will perform system integration of software and hardware to maintain throughput and program consistency. Responsible for developing, validating, and testing structures and user documentation.
- Role is required to be onsite in Holtsville, NY office (Hybrid- Minimum of 3 days in the office per week).
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior engineers & software leads to design, implement, and optimize machine learning models.
- Assist in developing deep learning architectures for complex problems in Retail, T&L
- Participate in projects involving AI applications for scientific research and business strategy.
- Contribute to data science initiatives, including data collection, cleaning, and analysis.
- Support efforts in ensuring data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Explore and research applications of quantum computing in AI and data science.
- Document research findings and present results to the team and stakeholders.
- Continuously learn and stay updated with advancements in AI, ML, and related fields.
- Provides recommendations and implements solutions to complex issues. Insures compliance with quality process and standards
- Makes changes to or upgrades existing software. Enhances and improves existing technologies to apply to new solutions
- Makes and implements recommendations to immediate team to enhance performance and improve productivity
- Seeks out new tools to analyze and solve problems
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
- Receives general instructions on routine work, new projects or assignments
- Builds productive working relationships internally and externally
- Primary intra-organizational with occasional inter-organizational and external customer contacts on routine matters
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience OR Master's degree with classes or courswork (knowledge and/or experience) in an engineering or related discipline.
- Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and deep learning techniques.
- Basic knowledge of quantum computing principles and their applications.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, and TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with data analysis tools and libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn).
- Awareness of data privacy principles and regulations (e.g., GDPR).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively.
- Internship or project experience in AI/ML or related fields.
- Knowledge of advanced deep learning architectures (e.g., GANs, Transformers).
- Understanding of AI applications in scientific research and business contexts.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
- Location: Role is required to be onsite in Holtsville, NY office (Hybrid- Minimum of 3 days in the office per week).
