What does a successful VP, Decision Science & Risk Solutions, Fraud & Credit Risk, Merchant Solutions do?
As the VP of Decision Science & Risk Solutions for Fraud & Credit Risk within the Merchant Solutions team at Fiserv, you will enable top-line growth and protect against financial losses through innovative risk management strategies. Joining our Fraud and Credit Risk Leadership team, you will leverage your leadership skills to drive impactful decisions and lead a team of talented data science professionals to build best-in-class fraud and credit risk analytical solutions, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
What you will do:
- Lead a team of 20-25 data scientists, data engineers, and data product specialists.
- Develop predictive models using large datasets, leveraging AI/Machine Learning techniques.
- Conduct complex analyses to inform and develop business and risk strategies.
- Collaborate with technology teams to build and deploy data/analytical products.
- Track, monitor, and provide analytical support on model performance and automated decision insights.
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate external data sources to enhance predictive models.
- Develop documentation to support stakeholder requirements, ensuring clarity and compliance.
- Transform risk data capabilities and decision systems through advanced technologies and real-time decisioning.
- Establish project scopes, maintain communication with stakeholders, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
What you will need to have:
- BS or MS degree in quantitative fields such as Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering, and/or equivalent military experience.
- 15+ years of experience in leveraging data/analytics/predictive modeling in financial or technology firms.
- 7+ years of experience leading teams in a dynamic environment.
- Experience in conducting analysis using statistical software such as SAS, and open-source software like Python or R.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in building predictive models using techniques such as supervised and unsupervised Machine Learning and AI.
- Knowledge of credit bureaus and external data sources required.
