Description:As a Facilities Engineer, you will support lead engineers in the planning, design, reconfiguration, and maintenance of buildings, equipment, and other infrastructure. You will play a key role in the execution of construction and facilities projects, from initial data gathering and feasibility assessment to contractor coordination and project tracking.
What You Will Be DoingFacility Planning and Design Support:
Assist lead engineers in the development and execution of facility reconfigurations and infrastructure alterations.
Gather and analyze data on facility specifications, regulatory requirements, timelines, and construction feasibility.
Partner with architecture and engineering firms to establish design criteria and review layout and detail drawings.
Project Documentation and Cost Estimation:
Prepare bid sheets and construction/facility acquisition contracts.
Assist in estimating design costs, including labor, equipment, materials, and installation expenses.
Construction Oversight and Compliance:
Support the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure alignment with drawings, specifications, and schedules.
Help drive project timelines and ensure quality compliance throughout the build process.
Project Tracking and Communication:
Utilize Microsoft Office tools to track and manage projects.
Assist in loading and updating project data in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
