What does a successful Software Engineer do?
You will be a key contributor within the software engineering team and work to build and maintain framework components across our suite of applications and services. You will coordinate with the rest of the team who work on different layers of the infrastructure.
What you will do:
- Develop Go application framework components that are scalable and maintainable across our enterprise
- Translate software requirements into stable, working, high-performance software
- Develop services that interact with RDBMS and Messaging systems
- Develop quality unit, integration tests to ensure a quality product
- Play a key role in event-driven architecture and design of the system
What you will need to have:
- 2+ year of Go software development experience
- 2+ years of experience with Go frameworks: API
- 2+ years of experience with routing packages: Gorilla/Mux or Chi and Dependency Management using Go Modules, Dep or similar tools
- 2+ years of experience building Go applications backed by a relational database such as Postgres or MySQL
- 2+ years of experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
- 2+ years of experience with Git
- 2+ years experience with Event Driven Architectures supported by RabbitMQ, Kafka or similar technology
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work or military experience
What would be nice to have:
- Experience with Code Generation

- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.
