What does a successful Credit Risk Analyst do?
At Fiserv, a successful Credit Risk Analyst reviews and investigates merchant accounts to assess fraud and credit risk exposure, ensuring effective risk mitigation. You will join a dedicated team focused on delivering excellence and building trusted client relationships. You will be responsible for completing special projects as assigned. You will read and interpret documents, and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Exercising discretion and independent judgment in making decisions, you will interact effectively and positively with all levels of personnel, partners, and vendors. You will also have the capability to work independently or in a team environment, especially under stressful situations.
What you will do:
- Review and investigate merchant accounts to assess fraud and credit risk exposure.
- Negotiate collateral requirements and restructuring terms as required.
- Resolve merchant inquiries through scheduled calls.
- Coordinate risk mitigation efforts with other areas of the business such as Funding, Legal, Operations, and Client Services.
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions.
What you will need to have:
- High school graduate/GED and/or equivalent military experience.
- 2+ years of experience in customer service.
- Ability to work some weekends and holidays to meet deadlines.
What would be great to have:
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree in finance or criminal justice and/or equivalent military experience.
- 1+ year of experience in credit risk assessment.
