Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
Versant is looking for a Specialist, Talent Development, to join their team! The Specialist, Talent Development will report to the Director, TD at Versant and will support the Versant Talent Development team design and logistically deliver innovative learning and growth experiences for employees at all levels—fostering a culture where continuous development is expected, supported, and celebrated. You’ll be a key player in executing foundational programs, driving learning initiatives, and supporting leadership and career development across the company as Versant evolves as a company post-spin.
You’ll bring energy, empathy, and a passion for helping others grow, all while building scalable solutions in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
What you’ll do:
- Develop & Deliver Programs: Bring fresh ideas and new ways of thinking to how we design and develop programs / experiences that support employee growth. You’ll support the Director and Manager of TD as we build, scale, source and deliver the future of learning at Versant
- Keep things Running Smoothly—tracking logistics, budgets, vendors, communications, feedback, and timelines to keep our experiences on track. You’ll operate behind the scenes with excellence by managing logistics, vendors, budgets, and timelines across multiple programs and initiatives.
- Have a Jack of All Trades approach—jumping in where needed across programs, events, and new initiatives that make Versant an engaging workplace.
- Support the creation of Learning Content: Help our team develop engaging, accessible learning content including toolkits, guides, workshops, and digital learning experiences.
- Be the Eyes and ears in the external learning marketplace – what speakers, vendors, platforms or technology would help our Versant workforce grow and develop?
- Champion Culture & Inclusion: Ensure all development programs reflect our company values and are inclusive, equitable, and culturally relevant.
Qualifications
What you’ll need:
- At least 3 years of experience in talent development, learning & development, or organizational effectiveness.
- Comfort with deck creation and design, logistics planning and hands-on execution—especially in a startup or scale-up setting.
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills—able to connect with employees at all levels in a clear, inspiring way.
- Passion for storytelling, people growth, and helping others unlock their potential.

Eligibility Requirements:

- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
- This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
