Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and purchases.
- Operate cash registers accurately, handling cash transactions and processing payments.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, sales, and product features to effectively communicate with customers.
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure the store is visually appealing and well-stocked.
- Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits to potential buyers.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales techniques.
Skills
- Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries effectively.
- Proficient in cash handling procedures with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of retail math for managing transactions and inventory counts.
- Experience with stocking merchandise and maintaining organized displays.
- Ability to conduct engaging product demos that highlight key features.
- Proven sales skills with a focus on achieving targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Familiarity with operating cash registers and point-of-sale systems.
- Supervisory skills to lead team members when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and colleagues.
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required.
