As a Store Operations Real Estate Intern, you'll support Lowe’s mission to provide a best-in-class store experience by contributing to real estate planning and property operations across our national store portfolio. Working within the Store Operations Real Estate team, you’ll assist in evaluating store site performance, lease agreements, property maintenance needs, and strategic initiatives that help optimize our retail footprint. From analyzing location-level data to collaborating with Legal, Finance, and Construction teams, this role offers a hands-on look into the life cycle of real estate in large-scale retail.

Do Your Best Work in Mooresville
This internship is based at our headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. Our corporate office is a space where you can collaborate and do your best work. Take a walk, grab a bite (or a cup of coffee), work out or get a check-up – we invest in you so you can find your inspiration.
What You Will Learn
Assist with research, analysis, and reporting related to Lowe’s store locations, lease agreements, and real estate portfolios.
Support coordination between Real Estate, Legal, Construction, and Finance teams on lease renewals, terminations, and renovations.
Help manage databases and documentation tied to property performance, vendor activity, and capital improvements.
Learn how Lowe’s evaluates market performance and property optimization opportunities.
Participate in project work tied to cost savings, operational efficiency, and long-term property strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
Expected graduation dates of December 2026 or May 2027.
Preferred Skills/Experience
3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.
Interest in commercial real estate, lease negotiation, or portfolio management.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with GIS or lease management software is a plus.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization is a plus.
