Your Impact
As a Visual Space Planning Intern at Lowe’s, you’ll help bring the customer journey to life by supporting how products are presented across our 1,700+ stores. You’ll work alongside Merchandising, Store Design, and Marketing teams to develop planograms, space allocation strategies, and in-store visual presentations that drive clarity, engagement, and conversion. From understanding customer behavior to testing layout strategies, you’ll help ensure that our store environments are visually intuitive and strategically optimized for performance and inspiration.

This internship is based at our headquarters in Mooresville, North Carolina. Our corporate office is a space where you can collaborate and do your best work. Take a walk, grab a bite (or a cup of coffee), work out or get a check-up – we invest in you so you can find your inspiration.
What You Will Learn
Fundamentals of planogram development and visual merchandising principles.
How customer behavior and product performance data influence visual planning decisions.
Collaboration across merchandising, space planning, and store operations teams.
How to use tools and software for visual planning and retail space optimization.
Strategies for aligning store layouts with brand guidelines and customer expectations.
How to support seasonal and promotional resets through visual planning execution.
Minimum Qualifications
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Merchandising, Retail Management, Business, Interior Design, or a related field.
Expected graduation dates of December 2026 or May 2027.
Preferred Skills/Experience
3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.
Proficient in MS Office Programs (specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Coursework or experience in visual merchandising, design, or space planning.
Ability to interpret floor plans, store layouts, or planograms.
Experience working on design or retail-related projects (academic or professional).
Strong attention to detail and passion for elevating the customer shopping experience
