Work Arrangement
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Mountain View three times per week, at minimum.
The Role
The Facilities Area Manager (West Coast) is a people leader who is responsible for leading non-manufacturing West Coast facilities operations. The Facilities Area Manager (West Coast) will be responsible for not only day-to-day operations, but also the long-term strategic planning for the West Coast portfolio. The Facilities Area Manager (West Coast) is responsible to ensure the Operations Team is embracing a One Team mindset and is always working to maximize collaboration and efficiency.

Sets objectives and owns the delivery of metrics and Key Performance Indicators that have direct impact on the achievement of the results in the job area; has measurable contribution into functional results and align with the GM strategic priorities.

Owns the OpEx and CapEx and long-term planning for the portfolio.

Manages our Service Agreements and Service Partners.

Drives attainment of daily facility operational goals on the campus (enabling consistent facility management, maintenance, energy supply, cleanliness, environmental compliance, and material handling initiatives).

Comprehensive enterprise planning, including support of operations in asset sustainment prioritization and strategy.

Champions change management and role models GM’s behaviors necessary to maintain a productive team without inhibiting individuality and personal diversity. Influences others within and/or outside the organization that are skeptical or unwilling to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.

Builds a team with the optimal mix of talent and experience and guides individual development of direct reports and their teams to drive performance.

Is accountable for workforce planning, operational and often financial decisions in the area managed.

Develops Continuous Improvement mindset throughout the team. Ensures GMS/OpEx is the foundation for continuous improvement via empowered team members lead by our business partners.
Qualifications

5+ Years of qualified experience

5+ Budget management experience

5+ Years project leadership experience

3+ years previous facilities leadership experience of teams

3+ years supporting global/regionally dispersed teams

3+ Years contract and vendor relationship management experience

Bachelors of Business, Engineering or related field required. MBA preferred

Proven ability to mentor and coach organizational strategy

Experience identifying and implementing process and program improvements

Experience leading emergency response plans

Use of AI tools, a plus
Compensation

The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as geography of the selected candidate.
- The salary range for this role is $127,900 - $200,100. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
