Position: SCM Planner and Analyst Associate
Location: Torrance, CA or San Diego, CA (Hybrid – in-office once a week)
Salary: $60K–$80K (DOE) + Bonus
Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (7.5 hours/day)
Job Description
The purpose of this role is to build, manage, and continuously enhance a data-driven global procurement model in Group, leveraging supply chain analytics to support strategic decision-making for our customers. Currently, we are developing robust databases, interactive dashboards, and expanding our analytical capabilities. We are seeking a team member who can actively contribute to creating, maintaining, and improving these critical data resources and analytical tools.
Database Management
- Maintain and manage SQL databases to support supply chain operations under supervision.
- Perform data cleaning, backups, and regular maintenance activities under supervision.
- Implement and maintain data warehousing solutions for efficient data retrieval and reporting.
- Develop automated scripts and queries to streamline data entry, extraction, and validation processes.
Supply Chain Data Analysis
- Leverage analytical skills to develop detailed reports and perform data analysis to support cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to forecasting processes by interpreting data, documenting key assumptions, refining models, and recommending operational adjustments.
- Collect and analyze logistics data to enhance operational efficiency.
- Assess customer procurement needs and offer value-added solutions to consolidate procurement functions, improving efficiency.
Procurement Operation Management
- Proactively communicate and coordinate with warehouses, logistics companies, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth operational processes.
- Resolve operational and logistical issues swiftly, maintaining clear and effective communication with all stakeholders.
- Maintain regular updates regarding inventory status, delivery schedules, and purchase orders.
Education & Experience:
- Prefer 3+ years of experience in a Business or BI Analyst role developing dashboards, analysis, reporting, data warehousing solutions.
- Expertise in SQL, relational databases, data warehousing, automation.
- Experience forecasting product sales and improving forecast model inputs.
- Experience in working with Data visualization tools such as Power BI, building interactive reports, complex dashboards for different audiences, creating calculated KPIs or metrics by writing complex formulas.
- Ability to communicate with business stakeholders for procurement needs review and data collections.
- Ability to translate complex analytical work into meaningful insights and recommendations for business stakeholders preferred.
- Proven ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Knowledge of how to extract, clean and manipulate data from multiple systems into reporting objects for analysis.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experiences in computer science, information systems, engineering, supply chain is preferred.
- Must be proficient with MS Office suite, particularly with Excel.
- Experience with MS Fabric data management is preferred
