Purchasing Coordinator
We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator to join our Purchasing Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the procurement process, ensuring efficient acquisition of goods and services while emanating strong supplier relationships. You will work closely with the Director of Purchasing, Purchasing Agents, QED Sales Department, and partner vendors to ensure that all purchasing activities align with QED’s operational goals.
What you'll do:
- Oversee purchasing activities, ensuring that goods and services are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively to support business operations.
- Update Purchase Orders as shipments arrive and resolve any discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages and overstock situations & coordinate with internal stakeholders to meet organizations needs.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best deals.
- Work closely with internal QED cross functional teams to ensure a smooth procurement operations.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments. Prepare reports as needed on purchasing activities and supplier performance.
What you'll bring:
- Relevant experience in Purchasing or supply chain management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizations skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of purchasing and requisitioning practices and procedures.
- Ability to skillfully utilize the MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred in Business or Supply Chain Management
- 1+ Years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or a related area
Compensation: $24.00-$26.00 - Hourly
