What does a successful Software Development Engineering - Advisor II do?

As a Software Development Engineering - Advisor II, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.
What you will do:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes ensuring adherence to coding standards.
Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
What you will need to have:
10+ years of software development experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Batch, Spring Microservices.
4+ years of experience in SQL Server with expertise in writing stored procedures.
3+ years of experience in Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), AWS, Azure.
3+ years of experience developing and designing in Microsoft Azure Cloud.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent military experience.
What would be great to have:
Experience in Splunk, REST APIs, Front-end frameworks (Angular or React).
3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
Experience in the financial services industry.

This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.
