KBR is seeking a Technical Product Manager to join our team onsite in El Segundo, CA, Colorado Springs, CO or remote.
KBR (formerly LinQuest) is the prime contractor on the MSEIT contract. By applying to this position, you are in consideration for KBR employment. However, you also have the option to be hired by one of our subcontractor teammates.
The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. Key Responsibilities:
- Drive Cross-Functional Program Execution: Lead complex, mission-critical software or ML programs across engineering, operations, and stakeholder teams, ensuring delivery aligns with strategic business goals.
- Hybrid Project and Agile Management: Apply a hybrid of traditional PMP and Agile/Scrum methodologies to manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables using tools like JIRA, Confluence, and MS Planner.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Requirements Management: Define and manage requirements while translating complex technical needs into clear, strategic outcomes for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Risk & Dependency Management: Identify, track, and mitigate risks across multiple concurrent workstreams, adjusting priorities dynamically to ensure timely delivery.
- Mentorship & Leadership: Mentor cross-functional teams, lead prioritization workshops, and foster collaboration in high-pressure environments.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance is required for this position
- Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 15+ years’ experience in technical product management, program management, or related leadership roles delivering complex, mission-critical software or ML-enabled solutions
- Proven ability to oversee timelines, priorities, and dependencies across multiple engineering, operations, and stakeholder groups
- Deep expertise with Kanban workflows, preferably using Microsoft Teams Planner or equivalent enterprise tools for backlog tracking and work visualization
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification required
- Agile certification (Scrum Master, Product Owner, or SAFe) required
- Demonstrated success applying hybrid program management approaches, integrating traditional PMP practices with agile product delivery methods
- Exceptional skills in stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, and translating complex technical execution into strategic business outcomes
- Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, from concept and requirements through deployment, sustainment, and decommissioning
- Proficiency with project tracking and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Planner
- Strong risk management expertise, with the ability to adjust priorities dynamically while maintaining delivery predictability
- Demonstrated leadership in mentoring cross-functional teams and driving consensus in high-pressure environments
Desired:
- Experience leading AI/ML-focused programs, including LLM design, deployment, and lifecycle management
- Background in systems engineering or software architecture for government or regulated industries
- Familiarity with DoD program management requirements, secure development processes, and compliance frameworks
- Experience with metrics-driven product management, OKR/KPI tracking, and executive-level reporting
- Advanced facilitation skills for backlog grooming, prioritization workshops, and stakeholder reviews
Basic Compensation: $152,000 - $190,000 in California; $138,000-$173,000 in Colorado
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
