What will I be doing?
As a Vice President of Global Luxury Sales, you will develop and implement our global luxury sales strategy. On the Hilton Worldwide Sales team reporting to the SVP and Global Head of Sales & HRCC, you will lead the teams looking after luxury group accounts, luxury transient sales, luxury consortia travel programs, and luxury travel agencies globally. You will work with regional sales teams and commercial leaders and coordinate sales activity across all three world regions to guide Hilton's global luxury customer engagement. You will also support the brand and development teams to articulate the evolving global platform that empowers Hilton Worldwide Sales (HWS) and the Luxury Sales Advantage.
Additionally, you will ensure standard methods in key areas of focus such as seller deployment strategy, customer engagement, account planning, performance management, overall sales engagement strategies, and capability development.
Your Responsibilities Will Also Include
- Advise the oversight of HWS Global Luxury Sales to get results through customized solutions, and ensuring that our teams are accessible, adaptable, and consultative to all of our partners
- Encourage a pervasive coaching culture within HWS Luxury Sales by leading by example and holding leaders accountable for active performance management of Global Team Members to drive performance and growth
- Drive and improve overall revenues from Travel Partner and Luxury consortia programs such as American Express Centurion, FHR, and THC, as well as Virtuoso, Signature, and Internova/Travel Leaders Select, etc.
- Engage in a leadership role in promoting and adhering to Hilton standard methods
- Develop and coordinate departmental budgets
How You Will Collaborate With Others
- Facilitate communication with hotel and brand communities; identify trends in the marketplace, assisting with conflict resolution, and supporting hotel and brand positioning
- Lead the luxury sales and agency engagement strategy with Luxury consortia in EMEA and APAC
What Initiatives You Will Take Ownership Of
- Developing and implementing strategies, as well as the direction and sales vision, to drive topline growth on behalf of all of our partners: Customers, Hotels, Owners, Brands, and Commercial Colleagues
- Owning Hilton's global presence at travel trade events and tradeshows for Luxury brands
What are we looking for?
Success will demonstrate itself through the following attributes and skills:
- Dynamic sales leader with experience building diverse sales teams
- Experience navigating and leading within matrixed global organizations, aligning teams across regions, brands, reporting lines, and business units to drive cohesive luxury sales strategies and deliver exceptional client experiences.
To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- Eight (8) years of experience developing strategic sales plans
- Eight (8) years of experience leading and advising sales teams
- Eight (8) years of experience communicating sales plans and presentations to senior-level executives and constituent groups
- Seven (7) years of experience working in a global, matrixed environment
- Five (5) years of experience working within the luxury market
- Five (5) years of experience working with departmental financial data to make decisions
- Three (3) years of experience evaluating and identifying business opportunities for hotels
- Travel up to 50%.
It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Ten (10) years of dynamic Sales experience at a multi-site, multi-branded, consumer-focused organization
- Ten (10) years of Hospitality experience or experience with Hilton
- Experience with sizable revenue ($1B+), diverse customers, and dynamic channels throughout the U.S.
- Experience with active organizational change involving talent, process, and systems changes
- Exposure to franchisee businesses
