Program Summary
KBR leads the government services world contingency market by providing responsive, full-service logistics support to forces deployed around the world under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program contract (LOGCAP). KBR’s enduring mission support of the LOGCAP program dates back to 1992 when we served as the contract’s original prime contractor. Today, we have a workforce of over 6,000 people representing 40 nationalities who perform work on the contract in 10 countries.
Job Summary
Provide emergency services support to protect lives and property by responding to fires, hazardous materials incidents, and other emergencies. Perform ancillary duties which includes fire inspections, fire safety education, maintaining emergency equipment and vehicles, and participate in regular training drills to maintain operational readiness and proficiency. Work closely with third party agencies such as military police and ambulance personnel for effective delivery of emergency services for a U.S. Army installation and assigned personnel.
Roles and Responsibilities
Performs basic firefighter duties while assigned to an apparatus.
Responds to emergency situations using mandated personal protective equipment.
Operates in environments involving fire, hazardous materials, aircraft mishaps, and motor vehicle incidents.
Supports fire prevention efforts at the Engine Company level during non-emergency situations.
Works collaboratively as a team member to maintain operational readiness of apparatus and equipment.
Demonstrates professionalism, discipline, and advanced fire service skills.
Maintains physical fitness and meets required proficiency and certification standards.
Assists with operational and administrative tasks within Fire and Emergency Services.
Adheres to all procedures, policies, regulations, and contract requirements.
Supports the upkeep of operational readiness and administrative programs.
Carries out additional duties as assigned by Senior KBR Fire Officers or Site Management.
Follows the KBR Fire Department's chain of command for daily operations and departmental matters.
Follows instructions and guidance provided by Senior KBR Fire Officers.
Performs all duties to the required standards as outlined in established protocols and policies.
Understands and follows all organizational health and safety standards.
Participates in required training programs to maintain the appropriate level of certification and proficiency.
Participates in the Firefighter Physical Fitness Program.
Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, and Certifications)
Must be able to pass a firefighter Occupational Health Exam and SCBA Fit Testing in accordance with NFPA 1582 and 1583.
Intermediate English proficiency: Must be able to speak, read, and write in English at an intermediate level.
Fluency in Albanian, with unrestricted right to work and reside in Kosovo.
Must possess the following IFSAC/NPQS firefighting certifications: Firefighter I/II, Airport Firefighter and HazMat Operations
