Who we’re looking for
Toyota is looking for team members who are passionate about technology and interested in joining a collaborative and highly motivated team as an [Engineer – Cybersecurity Risk Management - Privacy].
The primary responsibility of this role is to [support the delivery of key privacy platforms by helping lead efforts to ensure comprehensive coverage of applicable regulations, processes, and requirements for the Risk & Operations Management team based in Plano, TX].
Reporting to the Sr Manager, Cybersecurity Risk Management, the person in this role will join the Risk & Operations Management team to visualize and reduce Toyota’s technology risk by integrating cybersecurity, privacy, and compliance disciplines.
What you’ll be doing
Provides functional expertise in the creation, execution, and maintenance of Toyota's privacy technology services.
Designs and implements integrations and automation to facilitate privacy-related technological processes.
Delivers business value to Toyota by generating reports for performance analytics, KRIs/KPIs, and managing data imports and exports.
Works closely with product owners, designers, and platform teams to establish specifications and iteratively deliver features.
Executes daily tasks with minimal oversight while offering suggestions for improvements upon task completion.
What you bring
Education: 3-6 years' experience or bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent professional work experience
Experience: Functional expertise in agile development practices with an understanding of leveraging CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of North American privacy laws and regulations.
Skills/hands on technical proficiency: Proficient in agile development practices with an understanding of multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, NodeJS, AngularJS).
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to tailor messages to different audiences, presenting it clearly and concisely.
Added bonus if you have
Education: Master’s degree in computer science, Business Administration, Information Systems or related discipline
Experience working in Agile and/or Toyota Production System framework; Agile, Scrum, Lean, or related certifications.
Security and/or privacy certifications: At least one of the following Security certifications: CISM, CISA, CISSP, CIA, CIPM, CCSP, CIPP, CIPM, CC, CIPT
