Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.
Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.

A Product Service Engineer within the Systems Organization is a cross-functional role that bridges the gap between product development and customer needs by providing technical support, troubleshooting, and improving product performance after release to the field. In this role member will be responsible for significant assignments with long-term business implications. This includes activities related to enhancing services technology, integrating customer data, or capturing engines/products reliability, availability, maintenance, safety and other performance. This role involves offering after-sales support, analyzing customer feedback, and collaborating with various teams to enhance product reliability and user experience.
The PSE role is the voice of the customer within GE internal organizations, and will act as the technical point of contact for GE Marine Program Managers, Marine Field Services, engine manufacturing, production test cell, and GE marine overhaul shops. The PSE also translates the internal GE message to an external communication that is clear and transparent, keeping the customer at the forefront and ensuring they have the most relevant information to keep their fleet safe and operational.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
The Product line Leader partners with both internal stakeholders as well as external customers (Aero Alliance JV, GE Vernova, and Baker Hughes) and end users to provide technical support and clear containment plans when deemed necessary, for the fielded marine engines
- Interface with end users and program managers to provide technical assistance to customers and internal teams regarding product functionality, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Support customer issue resolution, fleet issues, service bulletin implementation, monitoring & diagnostics and fleet configuration.
- Analyze field data, customer feedback, and performance trends to identify areas for product enhancement, reliability improvements, and cost reduction.
- Work closely with systems engineers, design and manufacturing teams, and other stakeholders to implement design changes, improve product quality, and ensure smooth product launches.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including service bulletins, service manuals, troubleshooting guides, and training materials.
- Work collaboratively within a global, cross functional team (PSE, systems, repair, design) to provide guidance on field problem resolutions, corrective action implementation, and produce results to meet customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of Aeroderivative or industrial gas turbine experience in operations, design or repair
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) from an accredited university.
- Proven solid experience in fleet management field issues resolution.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of aero-engines architectures and applications.
- Able to prioritize work, plan milestones and communicate effectively to external customers.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Desired Characteristics
- Master's Degree in Engineering or other “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) from an accredited university.
- Familiarity with marine propulsion systems and ship systems
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes
- Experience leading or supporting TOPS8D or RCAs
- Ability to drive projects to completion
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
