Core Function Statement
The Salesforce Administrator advances Cape Fear Collective’s mission by designing, implementing, and optimizing technology systems that enable high-quality data collection, analysis, and program delivery across the organization’s Data and Housing teams. This role plays a key part in enhancing Salesforce functionality, integrating technology solutions, and ensuring systems are aligned with organizational priorities for measurable community impact, improved tenant outcomes, and operational effectiveness.

Key Outcomes and Responsibilities
The Salesforce Administrator will be accountable for the following core outcomes, along with representative activities under each area:
1. Enhance Salesforce as a Core Platform for the Data Science Team
Outcome: The Data Science Team’s Salesforce environment is fully implemented, optimized, and aligned with best practices, enabling accurate data capture, seamless workflows, and robust program evaluation.
Key Activities:
- Lead enhancements and quality improvement (QI) efforts, including automation, dashboard creation, and reporting features.
- Ensure data integrity and security through system audits, validation rules, and user training.
- Collaborate with staff to enhance workflows that improve efficiency and accuracy in account management.
2. Build and Implement a Housing Program Management Solution
Outcome: The Housing Team successfully adopts a technology solution—preferably Salesforce or an integrated tool—that supports tenant Case Management, as well as property and asset management.
Key Activities:
- Lead the configuration and deployment of the Housing Team’s technological stack, using existing Salesforce build-out plans as a framework for needs.
- Recommend modifications or alternative solutions as needed to improve usability, integration, and impact.
- Train Housing Team staff on system usage, data entry standards, and reporting tools.
- Establish ongoing support and troubleshooting processes.
3. Enable Data-Driven Decision-Making and Program Evaluation
Outcome: Staff across teams have timely access to accurate data and insights that inform strategic decisions and program improvement.
Key Activities:
- Build and maintain custom reports and dashboards.
- Support integration between Salesforce and other platforms (e.g., analytics, financial systems).
- Collaborate with evaluation and operations staff to ensure data structure supports key performance indicators and impact metrics.
4. Build Internal Capacity for Sustainable Technology Management
Outcome: Staff have the knowledge, tools, and confidence to use technology systems effectively.
Key Activities:
- Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, and knowledge base resources.
- Provide group and one-on-one training sessions.Identify and recommend ongoing professional development opportunities for staff.

Qualifications
We encourage applications from individuals with a broad range of experiences. Ideal candidates will bring:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in technology systems management, with at least 3 years in Salesforce administration, configuration, and integration. Experience in information systems, computer science, data management, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Salesforce configuration, workflows, automation, and reporting; understanding of data integration, APIs, and interoperability between platforms.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple technology implementation projects simultaneously from concept to completion.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and facilitation skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Values Alignment: Commitment to equity, collaboration, and community-centered impact.
- Education/Certification: Salesforce Administrator certification required.
