What does a successful DevOps Engineer do at Fiserv?
As a DevOps Engineer you will be a critical member of a fast-paced operations and software development team. This team is responsible for provisioning all required resources and infrastructure needed by development teams, troubleshooting and problem diagnosis of entire non-production, i.e., dev/qa/stage/perf and production environments, and monitoring the production servers. This role frequently has direct contact with our external and internal clients/entities, our development teams and our Product Management and Commercialization teams.
What you will do:
- Coordinate and execute release activities and work closely with Project managers/QA leads and development teams
- Pro-actively monitor all alerts and report issue that may significantly impact the business
- Conduct root-cause analysis as and when needed
- Develop and implement infrastructure architecture strategies and frameworks
- Collaborate with business units to ensure alignment between business objectives and IT infrastructure
- Provide guidance on infrastructure solutions and integration across multiple platforms
- Evaluate and recommend emerging infrastructure technologies to enhance business performance
- Create and maintain infrastructure models, blueprints, and documentation
What you will need to have:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, orchestration tools, and containerization
- 5+ years of experience with build/deployment tools, CI/CD pipelines, GIT, Maven, JIRA and Confluence
- 5+ years of experience in scripting i.e., Python, bash/shell/etc.
- 5+ years of experience with infrastructure as code, cloud formation, Terraform, CDK/Python
- 5+ years of experience with YAML/JSON and other extension configuration tools
- 3+ years of experience in networking, vpc, vpce, transit gateway, IP, DNS, network loadbalancers and CDN
- 2+ years of experience with SSO, HMAC, OAuth and Certificates and token cryptographic authentication methods/techniques
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience
What would be great to have:
- Experience with mySQL, RDS Well versed with SQL and noSQL Databases
- Experience with webservers and engines, i.e., tomcat/Apache/nginx
- Experience in Integration Engineering and/or Professional Services
- Continuous deployment experience using IntelliJ, GIT, BitBucket, local development server
