Our company's Animal Health, a global, research-driven company that develops, manufactures, and markets a broad range of veterinary medicines and services, is seeking a Specialist for our R&D facility in New Jersey. This Specialist will support the progression of molecules through the development process by facilitating GMP operations in the U.S. Drug Room, thereby helping to transform drug candidates into marketed products for our company's Animal Health, a company whose products enable pets and people to enjoy their time together and help keep livestock healthy to ensure a safe, sustainable, and high-quality food supply.
The Professional In This Position Will
- Support our company's Animal Health U.S. Drug Room
- Manage drug product inventory including receipt, storage, labeling, shipping, reconciliation, destruction, and expiration tracking of clinical trial material
- Interface with partner groups including Analytical, Formulations, Regulatory Affairs, Preclinical Development and Clinical Research to accommodate requests for transfer and shipment of clinical trial material
- Stay apprised of import, export, and shipping regulations for clinical material and pharmaceutical products
- Interface with onsite manufacturing for receipt and storage of drug products
- Maintain oversight of drug product storage chambers, refrigerators, freezer and their required maintenance
- Understand GMP processes and work in adherence to SOPs, including maintaining detailed documentation and records
- This position requires the ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
Position Qualifications
Education Minimum Requirement:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, or other scientific discipline preferred
Required Experience And Skills
- Three (3)+ years of relevant work experience
- Track record of logistical or operational management, such as managing inventory, timelines, etc.
- Experience working in a GMP environment and an understanding of GMP processes and SOP governance
- Attention to detail and ability to work under the general direction of a supervisor
- Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to simultaneously balance activities for multiple projects
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, effectively and efficiently
Preferred Experience And Skills
- Experience with the importing, exporting, and shipping of regulated materials
- Experience managing pharmaceutical inventory
- Experience with electronic inventory system such as SAP
- A personal drive for results and a demonstrated history of achievement
- Customer focus and an aspiration for continuous improvement

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The salary range for this role is
$85,600.00 - $134,800.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
