What does a successful Solution Consultant - Deposit Solutions do?
At Fiserv, a successful Solution Consultant - Deposit Solutions plays a crucial role in driving sales success and nurturing existing client relationships. You will be the subject matter expert, bringing technical expertise and strategic insights to sales opportunities, ensuring that our Deposit/Item Processing Solutions align with client needs. Your efforts will build credibility, foster confidence, and enhance the overall value proposition of our products.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with the Sales team to support the achievement of sales targets while controlling cost objectives.
- Illustrate the value of Deposit/Item Processing Solutions to prospects in an engaging, compelling manner.
- Align Fiserv's Deposit/Item Processing Solutions capabilities with client business requirements ethically and professionally.
- Manage timely submission of RFI/RFP documents, bid coordination, prospect qualification, discovery, and requirements gathering.
- Promote sales opportunities within existing accounts to ensure customers remain successful and referenceable.
- Represent Fiserv at trade shows and conferences to enhance brand visibility.
- Develop credibility with prospects through strong engagement and expertise throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Communicate product roadmap effectively to prospects, clients, and internal stakeholders.
What you will need to have:
- 5 + years of experience with financial institutions or technology vendors servicing financial institutions (e.g. - wholesale banking, investment management and brokerage services, along with related Software experience) with a focus on Deposit/Item Processing Solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, pre-sales or implementation of software solutions, ideally in a similar solution area.
- Experience with Deposit/Item Processing software and solutions is preferred.
- Experience indicating an understanding of / or ability to quickly acquire in depth knowledge of multiple product lines in support of the responsibilities above.
- Experience indicating ability as an independent problem solver able to solve problems without precedents or guidelines.
- Proven ability to understand and effectively communicate with multiple functional groups.
- Experience indicating an understanding of /or ability to quickly acquire in depth understanding of relevant markets.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, and/or related field and/or equivalent military experience.

- Experience in analyzing and developing solution proposals in financial services.
- Experience in managing product demonstrations and understanding business-driven value propositions.
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Crystal, Cognos, Actuate, and Business Objects.
- Experience in competitive analyses and market differentiator strategies.
- Experience in maintaining product roadmaps and communicating with stakeholders.
- Experience with Oracle, SQL databases.
