Principal Data Scientist (Hybrid/Remote)
KBR is seeking a Principal Data Scientist to join our team in a hybrid role of mainly working from home and on occasion onsite at our customer location in the Lompoc, California area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Consolidate network data in a presentable fashion to help key decision makers make informed decisions on where to invest their resources to streamline their operational network and make it more efficient.
- Apply data mining and statistical analysis techniques like hypothesis testing, segmentation, and modeling to analyze large amounts of network data.
- Deliver the latest data science and practices to help design, build and maintain scalable and robust solutions that unify, enrich and analyze data from multiple sources of the network
- Help clients make data-driven decisions by working with structured and unstructured data sets, building out predictive models and advise clients on data mining leading practices.
- Help unify, enrich, and analyze network data to derive new insights and opportunities.
- Leverage in-house data platforms as needed and recommend and build new data platforms/solutions as required to exceed client’s
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and opportunities to clients to improve data systems and solutions.
- Apply data driven approach (KPI's) in tying technology solutions to specific mission outcomes.
- Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress.
- Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.

Required Qualifications:
- Active DoD Secret clearance is required with eligibility to get TS in future to be considered for this role
- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Statistics, Operations Research, Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
- Must have 8+ Years of experience in data engineering
- Must have experience with one or a combination of the following: data science, big data, and/or data engineering
- Must have experience with various data technologies in at least one of the following ecosystems Google Cloud, AWS, or Microsoft Azure
- Must have experience in presenting technical data for non-technical consumption
- Must have experience in using MS products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
- Must have experience building presentation from raw network data provided by engineers
Preferred Qualifications:
- IBM Data Science Professional
- Google Data Analytics Professional
- Azure Data Scientist Associate
- SAS Certified Data Scientist
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Basic Compensation:
El Segundo, CA = $160,000 - $195,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
