About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to provide hands-on engineering leadership that drives improved Developer Experience and Efficiencies, while proactively managing security and risk within our technology platforms. This role will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of robust solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and industry best practices. This role will play a key part in fostering innovation, supporting platform modernization, and helping the team deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality technology solutions.
In this role, you will:- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Provide technical guidance to enhance developer experience and operational efficiency
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
- Champion secure coding practices and contribute to risk management efforts across the team
- Support platform modernization and adoption of new technologies to improve delivery velocity and solution quality
Required Qualifications:- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying secure, scalable software solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- 4+ years of working knowledge with modern development tools, cloud platforms, and CI/CD practices
Desired Qualifications:- Experience contributing to developer enablement initiatives or platform modernization projects
- Knowledge of risk management and secure software development practices
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence technical direction
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and supporting team growth
