Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial tasks and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
This position will drive our vehicles throughout Central Ohio. **Must have a Valid Driver's License*** Start time is 5:00 a.m. -end time could be as late as 3:00 p.m. with drive time.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by replenishing supplies and sanitizing surfaces.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to ensure polished surfaces.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Carry out residential painting duties when required to maintain aesthetic appeal.
- Execute commercial and industrial cleaning protocols to meet safety and health standards.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with environmental regulations.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Skills in floor care techniques including buffing and waxing are highly desirable.
- Ability to perform residential painting tasks as needed.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent time management skills, capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
