Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Program Manager to join our team. As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating multiple projects, ensuring they align with our organization's strategic goals and are delivered on time and within budget.
- Partner with necessary stakeholders & delivery team(s) to drive program roadmap, features, prioritization, and releases for assigned vertical
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies and develop plans to escalate and mitigate them
- Provide clear and consistent communication of program and project status for cross-functional teams, leadership, and stakeholders
- Develop and validate business cases with measurable benefit, influencing and interacting with multiple business cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, and internal operations and engineering teams
- Responsible for the timely preparation/compilation of data/edits and distributing reports, forms, and documents. Creates and edits presentations, agendas, spreadsheets, communications, databases, and reports relevant to your vertical
- Partner with internal shared service and brand digital teams to evaluate and decide on trade offs
- Determine MVP, evaluate internal product capabilities and benchmark them against industry leaders
- Be the champion of your diverse portfolio of programs and advocate for your users, both central and brand based
- Define KPIs, integrate usability studies, industry research, and analyze metrics to inform the success of products used within programs
- Utilize enterprise project management tools such as JIRA, Confluence and other applications to manage the program and deliverables, while adhering to PMO processes, documentation standards, and best practices
- Manage program capacity and forecasts
- Be a champion of PMO processes and best practices
- Additional assignments as needed per business need
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of program management experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-project programs
- 2+ years professional experience working with Legal and Compliance stakeholders
- Keen understanding of how to consistently “move the ball forward” in varied circumstances
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and communicate them effectively
- Expertise in Agile methodologies and the full software lifecycle: application development (application structure, device and operating system APIs, debugging, performance, security) and deployment
- Experience creating user stories, personas, and or journey maps for both end users and internal stakeholders, and evaluating finished products on satisfying them
- Goal-oriented, able to not only conceptualize products but also manage and optimize them throughout their lifecycle
- Ability to build business relationships and influence executive stakeholders through verbal and written communication
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and other project tracking tools
- Demonstrated adaptability and resilience in fast-paced, dynamic environments

- Experience with consumer products, data, and analytics tools
- Familiar with data governance concepts
- Familiarity with AI and data privacy concepts
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the New York office a minimum of four days per week.
