The Institutional Client Group (ICG) is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the global strategy for PGIM's institutional client engagement, capital raising and business development activities across key markets and asset classes. The team partners closely with PGIM’s investment, marketing and product teams to deliver solutions for our clients and consultants. The team also focuses on building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with the largest pensions, endowments, corporations, unions, sovereign wealth funds and family offices globally.
Our Role
PGIM is seeking a Mandarin Chinese (or Japanese) - English bilingual Client Service Analyst to join its Asia Desk on the Client Management team. This job will be in its headquarters in Newark, New Jersey. This person will report to the senior account manager for the Asia institutional clients and responsible for coordinating all Asian client requests and support Asia offices to service existing and prospective clients.
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, genuine interest and understanding of fixed income products, and a willingness to learn the fixed income market, the asset management business, the Fixed Income clients. Such candidate will be working in a cross-cultural environment and is expected to take part in internal and external calls during US and potentially during Asia business hours.
The analyst will work across all of PGIM’s functional groups to provide centralized and cross-functional solutions. This person will need to develop relationships across multiple business areas within Fixed Income including Portfolio Management, Credit Research, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Reporting, Performance and our Asia offices.
Your Impact
As part of PGIM’s Asia Desk, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Asian institutional investors through the full lifecycle of account management. This includes onboarding and offboarding clients, coordinating across internal teams (Portfolio Management, Credit Research, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Asia teams), and ensuring seamless execution of client-related initiatives.
What you will do
- Respond to Asian client requests, coordinating prompt, accurate and thorough resolution to client inquires.
- Schedule and facilitate client meetings, onsite / offsite trainings, and client conferences.
- Track and facilitate client events and inquiries, including but not limited to credit commentaries on issuers of corporate bonds, bank loans, and other issuer-specific inquiries.
- Coordinate cross functionary during an audit period to ensure a successful audit of client’s accounts.
- Create and maintain customer information and legal documentation.
- Help Marketing team with RFP/RFI/DDQ responses.
- Coordinate legal documentation updates and other amendments.
- Design, document and implement appropriate policies and procedures.
- Execute various ad-hoc and special projects as directed.
What you will bring
- 1-3 years of experience in investment management or financial services.
- Fluent in English and either Japanese or Mandarin (written and verbal).
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across global teams (Japan, Hong Kong, U.S., Europe).
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree from an accredited institution
- Active FINRA series 7 license or the ability to obtain the series 7 within 120 days of hire
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with BlackRock Solutions / Aladdin is a plus.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills; able to escalate non-standard issues appropriately.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including handling large datasets.
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities.
Salary Range Disclosure
Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $95,000 to $128,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
