The Role
Andersen Consulting is currently seeking a US based Manager in Property and Casualty Insurance domain for our Technology Transformation offerings.This position serves as a critical bridge between the client's actuarial/underwriting teams and the technical implementation teams. The role combines deep P&C insurance domain expertise with strong analytical and technical skills, focusing specifically on insurance rating structures, pricing models, and data management. As a BA, you will collaborate with insurance carriers to understand their complex rating methodologies, regulatory requirements, and data needs while translating these into actionable technical specifications for the implementation team. This role is essential for ensuring accurate rating calculations and data integrity throughout the policy administration system implementation. Candidates applying for this role must be able to demonstrate actual engagement experience in most or all the job functions described below.
This role includes:
- Analyzing and documenting complex business processes, data flows, and system interactions across underwriting, claims, and policy servicing functions within the P&C insurance domain
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and translate business and operational requirements into clear, actionable specifications for implementation and configuration teams
- Leading detailed discovery and requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand workflows, document usage, data needs, compliance obligations, and process pain points
- Performing gap analysis between current-state processes and target future-state capabilities to identify improvement opportunities and system or operational changes
- Supporting solution design by aligning business goals with technology capabilities and ensuring feasibility within existing system architecture
- Coordinating with configuration, data, and integration teams to ensure accurate translation of requirements into functional solutions
- Assisting in the development of process maps, data models, and documentation to support planning, governance, and downstream implementation activities
- Facilitating stakeholder alignment across business and IT teams during the design and planning phases of transformation initiatives
Job Functions:
- Conduct interviews and workshops with business and technical stakeholders to gather process, system, and data requirements
- Analyze current-state business processes across areas such as underwriting, claims, and policy servicing
- Review existing systems, data sources, and integration points to identify technical dependencies and constraints
- Develop detailed current-state process maps to visualize workflows, handoffs, system interactions, and exception paths
- Analyze types, sources, and usage patterns of business documents and data
- Define high-level future-state processes aligned with business goals such as efficiency, automation, and compliance
- Perform gap analysis between current and future states to identify process, system, and data gaps
- Document business requirements and future-state capabilities needed for solution design
- Support development of a strategic roadmap to guide implementation and change management
- Contribute to the creation of business cases, including ROI and cost-benefit analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical planning
- Facilitate ongoing stakeholder communication throughout the planning and design phases
The Requirements
- Strong understanding of SQL and data modeling principles to support data analysis and mapping activities
- Proficiency in Excel for data validation, analysis, and reporting
- Hands-on experience with business process modeling tools to document and visualize workflows
- Familiarity with API concepts and system integration patterns within enterprise environments
- Working knowledge of version control systems and documentation platforms for managing requirements and specifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry, with exposure to personal and/or commercial lines
- Experience working with modern policy administration systems such as Socotra, Guidewire, or EIS, including system implementation or configuration projects
- Strong understanding of core insurance concepts such as underwriting, policy lifecycle, claims processes, and regulatory compliance
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements impacting P&C insurance operations and data handling
- Understanding of industry standards including ISO forms, rating models, and ACORD data standards
- Guidewire ACE certified
This role requires a unique combination of analytical thinking, technical aptitude, and insurance domain expertise, making it crucial for successful policy administration system implementations in the P&C insurance sector.
Compensation and Benefits
Our firm offers competitive base compensation, benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics per the defined program guidelines. For individuals hired to work in New York, the expected salary range for this role is $104,500 to $182,500; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications.

We offer paid time off, beginning at 160 hours annually and provides twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Compensation: In addition to competitive base compensation, our firm offers annual discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance, a discretionary long-term cash incentive program, and other forms of discretionary compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range scale.
