Job Title: Cassandra/Scylla DBA Engineer2
Role Summary:
We are seeking for an experienced Cassandra/Scylla DBA Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize distributed Cassandra database systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NoSQL data modelling, performance tuning, and automation, with a focus on ensuring high availability and scalability of database infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, install, configure, and maintain Cassandra clusters.
Monitor database health and performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or DataStax OpsCenter.
Implement and manage backup, recovery, and failover strategies.
Optimize read/write performance and fine-tune Cassandra configuration settings.
Collaborate with development teams to design scalable and efficient data models.
Automate routine database maintenance tasks using Python, Shell, or other scripting languages.
Ensure data security, compliance, and integrity.
Provide oncall support for production environments as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
3–5 years of hands-on experience with Apache Cassandra (version 3.x or 4.x).
Proficiency in CQL (Cassandra Query Language).
Strong understanding of NoSQL data modelling principles.
Experience with Linux-based systems and system administration.
Familiarity with DevOps tools or scripting languages.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS is a plus.
Experience with DataStax Enterprise or other Cassandra distributions or Scylla database.
