QA Automation Lead manages the software automation strategy, designs and implements test frameworks, and leads a team of engineers to ensure software quality. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining automated test scripts, analyzing results, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with development teams. The role also involves mentoring junior engineers, improving automation processes, and reporting on testing progress and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Frameworks:
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and strategies that align with project goals.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and guide a team of QA automation engineers, fostering a collaborative environment.
Test Development:
Create and maintain automated test scripts and cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
Collaboration:
Work closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to integrate automated tests into the software development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines.
Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze test results, identify and report bugs, and provide clear documentation and reports on testing activities and outcomes.
Process Improvement:
Continuously improve testing processes, adopt best practices in test automation, and implement efficient testing methodologies.
Problem-Solving:
Troubleshoot test failures and complex issues within the automation environment.
Required Skills
Technical Proficiency:
Expertise in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, RestAssured, JMeter), programming languages (e.g., Java, Python), and scripting.
QA Methodologies:
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, processes, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Analytical Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify potential issues and improve software quality.
Communication & Leadership:
Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills to effectively lead a team and interact with cross-functional teams.
Agile Experience:
Familiarity with agile development methodologies and integrating test automation into agile workflows.
Tools & Platforms:
Experience with test management tools, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins), and bug tracking systems.
Important information about this role:
- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
