What does a successful Product Manager do at Fiserv?
As a Product Manager specialising in Enterprise Merchant Boarding and Maintenance in the payments/acquiring industry, this role will play a critical role in defining and driving the strategy for onboarding and maintaining merchant accounts for large enterprise clients.
What you will do:
Product Roadmap: Develop and manage a strategic roadmap for enterprise merchant onboarding and maintenance aligned with the Commerce Hub proposition.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales, operations, compliance, and technology teams, to gather requirements, prioritize features, and ensure alignment with business goals.
Sales & Client Engagement: Lead client demos, support sales pitches & RFPs and support client workshops as required
Merchant Experience Enhancement: Identify opportunities to improve the merchant onboarding experience by simplifying processes, reducing friction, and increasing efficiency in account setup and maintenance.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that merchant boarding processes adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards, and implement risk management measures to protect against fraud and losses.
Data Analysis and Optimization: Utilize data analytics to track key performance indicators related to merchant boarding and maintenance, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimizations to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Product Development and Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept ideation to deployment, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
Market Research: Conduct market research to understand competitor offerings, industry best practices, and emerging technologies in merchant boarding and maintenance to inform product strategy and innovation.
Product Documentation: Develop training materials and documentation for internal teams and merchants to ensure understanding of product features, processes, and compliance requirements.
What you will need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5 years+ product management experience including ownership for roadmap, product vision and strategy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; clients, technology, risk and senior management stakeholders
Be comfortable getting into low level detail with delivery teams while managing higher level strategic messaging for senior management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Miro / Visio, PowerPoint, JIRA and Confluence
Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and prioritise to ensure delivery of quality output within required timelines
Self-motivated and able to take the initiative and responsibility even when sometimes outside of defined responsibilities
Ability to “step back” and think both critically and commercially
