Description:Production Operations Proposal Engineer
You will be a Production Operations Proposal Engineer, responsible for supporting LM Aero (e.g., F35, IFG, ADP) Development, Production and Sustainment Proposals. This support includes accurate, timely and complete cost estimates with focus on the Technical, Production Engineering and Manufacturing aspects of the proposal. As a Production Operations Proposal Engineer, you’ll be part of a team supporting LM Aero success through effective Proposal Development and Negotiations.
What You Will Be DoingResponsibilities Include:
• Participating in Proposal Kick-Off Briefings
• Deconstructing and/or Writing Statements of Work (SOWs)
• Collaborating with Internal and External Stakeholders
• Compiling, Analyzing and Validating Cost, Schedule, Performance and Technical Input
• Authoring Comprehensive Cost Estimates (e.g., BOEs), which are Defendable and Accurate
• Ensuring Compliance with Company and Government Proposal Policies and Procedures, including DFAR and FAR Requirements
• Supporting Management and/or Executive Leadership Reviews (e.g., EPP Reviews)
• Leading Production Operations Fact-Finding and Negotiations Activities
• Communicating with Government Customers
• Eventually, Active Secret Clearance

• Applying Cost Models and Historical Cost Data to Prepare Cost Estimates
• Experience with Government Customer Interface and Negotiations
• Ability to Perform in a Dynamic, Multi-Task Work Environment with Various Deadlines
• Experience with Contract Statements of Work (CSOWs) or Technical Statements of Work (TSOWs) Review and Input
• Experience with LM Aerospace Proposal Tools Suite (APTS) for BOE Authoring
• Project Management or Program Management Experience and Skills, including Defining Key Technical and Milestone Dependencies
• Excellent Organization, Communication, and Time Management Skills.
• Control Account Manager 101 (CAM) Training or Knowledge of Earned Value Management
• Knowledge of 1LMX
• Ability to Provide Recommendations, Solve Problems or Complete Tasks Independently
Technical/Manufacturing Knowledge and Collaboration
• Familiar with Aircraft Manufacturing Sequence Flows, including SWBs
• Familiar with Production/Manufacturing Systems and Manufacturing Processes
• Ability to Interpret Drawings, Schematics and Specifications
• Ability to Translate Basic and Complex Engineering or Manufacturing Processes for Basis of Estimate (BOE) Development
• Effective Communication and Interpersonal Skills as Liaison among Stakeholders, including Production Operations SMEs (e.g., Mfg Eng, Mfg Test Eng, Indus Eng), Design Engineering, Estimating, CAMs, Program Management, Project Engineering and Contracts
• Familiarity with SAP, PDM, SFM/CAPP, Business Objects, Tableau
• Experience with AI Applications
• Advanced Excel concepts (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLookups/XLookups, SumIfs)
• Ability to Identify Risks to Capacity, Cost, Schedule or Performance
• Strong Analytical, Communication, or Interpersonal Skills
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite Applications

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
