Description:What We're DoingThe Naval Helicopter Program (NHP) team is driving mission readiness by supporting critical aircraft production and fleet sustainment efforts. At the core of this work is our Mission Production Lab (MPL) and associated Ship Lab, where we integrate, test, and maintain systems that directly support aircraft production hardware and field returns.
The WorkAs a Lab Engineer II, you will support the configuration, operation, and improvement of the Mission Production Lab and Ship Lab. You’ll help ensure the labs are ready to support production hardware and fleet returns, with minimal downtime. Responsibilities include:
• Assisting with lab setup, configuration, and upgrades.
• Supporting grooming of production hardware and troubleshooting of field returns.
• Helping prepare Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and Capital Equipment Requests (CERs).
• Contributing to asset management, metrology, and documentation control.
• Identifying and helping resolve lab issues when they occur.
• Providing technical assistance to the lab test team.
• Collaborating with technicians, program office, security, system administrators, and test engineers.

• 2+ years of experience in engineering, systems, or lab environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical teams.
• A collaborative mindset with the drive to keep mission-critical systems operational.

Basic Qualifications:• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government clearance at the Secret level.
• Ability to work on site 4 days a week
• Experience with Microsoft Office products
• Ability to work overtime or off shift when required
Desired Skills:• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/technical discipline, with 2 or more years of professional experience; or 5 years of professional experience with a related Associates degree; or 8 years of professional experience with High School Degree.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and able to communicate to program managers, technicians, engineers and managers.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated proficiencies in Earned Value, Schedule, Cost and Risk Management Techniques.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or an associate’s degree.
• Experience in leading cross-disciplinary teams
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and implement process improvements that drive efficiency and affordability.
• Experience with purchasing parts and the P2P system
• Basic knowledge of electronics and test equipment.
• Basic knowledge of IT equipment and IT networking.
• Proficiency in the site metrology process.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $98,300 - $170,315.
