About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer to join Workforce Compute-the team that powers every Wells Fargo employee's day with secure, reliable end-user computing devices and the seamless experiences around them. You'll design and deliver modern, cloud-ready solutions that retire and consolidate legacy tools, elevating performance, resiliency, and usability at global scale. Expect to ship: you'll design, code, test, debug, and document features; drive installations, upgrades, and deployments; and spot opportunities to boost service quality and availability. You'll dig into technical challenges tied to low-to-medium-risk deliverables, evaluate alternatives, and make crisp recommendations-or escalate to meet SLAs-while growing your mastery of security and compliance. You'll collaborate across engineering and partner teams, communicate clearly, and follow through to turn ideas into outcomes that thousands of colleagues feel every day
In this role, you will:- Participate in low to moderately complex initiatives and projects associated with the technology domain, including installation, upgrades, and deployment efforts
- Identify opportunities for service quality and availability improvements within the technology domain environment
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for low to moderately complex projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review and analyze technical assignments or challenges that are related to low to medium risk deliverables and that require research, evaluation, and selection of alternative technology domains
- Present recommendations for resolving issues or may escalate issues as needed to meet established service level agreements
- Exercise some independent judgment while also developing understanding of given technology domain in reference to security and compliance requirements
- Provide information to technology colleagues, internal partners, and stakeholders
Required Qualifications:- 2+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:- Collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones; occasional flexibility in working hours may be needed.
- Participate in on-call rotations or after-hours support during critical deployments or incident response.
- Deliver high-quality, maintainable code and follow established secure coding practices.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in end-user computing and cloud modernization.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear updates and documentation.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks, proactively follow up, and drive issues to resolution without waiting for direction.
- .NET Programming (C# preferred) - Intermediate - Build console and Windows applications, use LINQ, async/await, and work with .NET libraries and packages
- Git - Beginner - Learn basic commands (clone, commit, push, pull), understand repositories and branches.
- Azure - Intermediate - Use Azure CLI/PowerShell, configure storage, networking, and identity services, integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
- Intune - Beginner - Understand device enrollment, basic policy creation, and app deployment.
- MVC (Model-View-Controller) - Beginner - Understand MVC architecture, routing, and basic controller/view setup.
- Restful API - Intermediate - Build and consume APIs using ASP.NET Web API, implement authentication and versioning.
- Unit Testing - Intermediate - Use mocking frameworks (Moq), test coverage tools, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- PowerShell - Beginner - Learn basic scripting, cmdlets, and automation tasks.
