What does a successful Vice President of Business Transformation do?

What you will do:
- Define and lead the multi-year transformation agenda to strengthen merchant solutions, streamline operations, and accelerate global scalability.
- Establish rigorous governance, reporting, and performance metrics to track progress and ensure accountability at all levels.
- Drive cultural and organizational change to align teams with new ways of working, ensuring adoption of tools, processes, and behaviors that deliver results.
- Partner with commercial, product, and technology teams to reimagine and optimize the end-to-end merchant journey, ensuring simplicity, speed, and value creation.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives, presenting insights, building consensus, and influencing decision-making at the highest levels.
- Oversee cross-functional initiatives (technology, product, operations, risk, compliance, and customer experience) that enable innovation and operational efficiency.
- Build and inspire a high-performing transformation team capable of delivering results in a fast-paced, global environment.
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, operations, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive leadership in strategy, operations, consulting, or transformation roles.
- 15+ years of experience working with technology and operations in a global, matrixed environment.
- 15+ years of experience in leading complex transformation programs.
- Deep understanding of the financial services, fintech, and payments ecosystem.
- 8+ years experience in management consulting (e.g., Big 4, top-tier strategy firms).
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with a results-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with resilience and adaptability.
What would be great to have:
- 15+ years of project management experience using Agile methodologies.
- 15+ years of experience in Lean Six Sigma processes.
- 15+ years of experience in digital transformation initiatives.
- 15+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions integration.
- 15+ years of experience with regulatory compliance in financial services.
- Master's degree (MBA) or equivalent preferred
