Job SummaryThe Fulfillment Team Lead supports a smooth and reliable order fulfillment process by coaching and modeling service excellence in order picking, staging, and fulfilling activities. They act as a first point of contact for both customers and associates, resolving issues and answering questions while balancing service, administrative, and maintenance responsibilities. This role ensures accurate and timely fulfillment of all order types including Pickup, Install, Delivery Same Day /Gig, and Curbside, orders using the Orders App to prioritize and manage workflow. In addition, this position partners closely with the Pro Services team to ensure Pro call ahead orders are picked and staged.
Key Responsibilities- Coach and model service excellence through accurate and high quality picking, staging, and order validation.
- Respond to customer and associate questions, resolve issues, and escalate when needed.
- Balance service, administrative, and maintenance tasks with fulfillment responsibilities.
- Use the Orders App to pick, stage, and fulfill all order types (Pickup, Install, Delivery, Same Day / Gig, and Curbside.
- Partner with the Pro Sales team to ensure Pro Call Ahead Orders are picked and staged. Resolve escalated customer issues and operational challenges quickly and effectively.
- Support inventory accuracy, SIMS compliance, and shrink reduction through audits and validation.
- Ensure fulfillment areas remain safe, organized, and compliant by conducting daily checks and enforcing safety and maintenance standards.
- Operate and maintain certification for powered equipment (Forklift, Order Picker, Narrow Aisle Reach Truck) and follow all safety requirements.
- Assist with scheduling, coverage, and communication of fulfillment priorities, partnering with leadership and MOD as needed.
What We’re Looking For:- Operate tools and power equipment at heights 20+ feet (ladders, stairs, forklift, order picker, etc.)
- Ability to walk and stand continuously throughout all areas of a store 15k+ steps daily.
- Basic skills to use technology such as smartphone and other general computer equipment.
- Ability to look, listen and to communicate verbally with others.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent required and 1+ years of retail, operations, or fulfillment experience.
- 1-2 years previous leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence and coach others.
- Working knowledge of order management systems, inventory processes, and safety compliance.
Licenses & Certifications- Powered Equipment Certification: Counterbalance Forklift, Order Picker, and Narrow Aisle Reach Truck (Required; must be obtained if not already certified).
