About the Role
This role plays a key part in supporting day-to-day workplace operations across multiple facilities. The individual will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels, restocking supplies, performing light maintenance, and coordinating with vendors to ensure smooth service delivery. The position requires a hands-on, proactive approach to workplace support, with a focus on operational efficiency, safety, and compliance with company policies.
What You’ll Do
Support operational efficiency and vendor coordination across multiple facilities by performing a variety of logistical, maintenance, and support tasks. Responsibilities include:
Inventory & Supplies Management
- Monitor and maintain stock levels of essential items such as water, ink, paper, and general office supplies.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and coordinate with vendors or internal teams to ensure timely replenishment.
- Organize and maintain supply closets and storage areas for accessibility and cleanliness.
Minor Maintenance & Assembly
- Assemble furniture and office equipment (e.g., desks, chairs, shelving units).
- Perform light maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, tightening fixtures, or adjusting furniture layout.
- Report larger maintenance issues to the appropriate facilities or building management team.
Vendor Escort & Relations
- Serve as the on-site point of contact for external vendors performing services (e.g., repairs, deliveries, installations).
- Escort vendors through secure areas as needed, ensuring compliance with building access protocols.
- Communicate vendor arrival and departure times to relevant stakeholders.
Transportation & Mileage
- Use personal vehicle for work-related travel between sites or for supply pickups.
- Average weekly mileage ranges from 10 to 30 miles, with reimbursement provided according to company policy.
- Maintain accurate mileage logs for reimbursement and compliance purposes.
General Maintenance Support
- Conduct routine inspections and assist with preventive maintenance on building systems.
- Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems and exchange information in a clear, concise manner.
- Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 25 lbs. or more.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
