The MSEIT contract provides Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) support for the Military Communications & Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Directorate of the Space Systems Command in El Segundo.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Knowledge Manager to support enterprise-wide information sharing, collaboration, and decision-making across DoD mission areas. This role is critical to ensuring that institutional knowledge is captured, organized, and made accessible to stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate will have experience implementing knowledge management strategies, tools, and processes in a secure, mission-driven environment. This position requires strong communication skills, technical insight, and a deep understanding of DoD operations and data governance.
The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain document repositories, portals, and collaborative platforms
Structure/categorize data for intuitive access and retrieval across clearance levels
Implement and enforce data governance policies and metadata standards
Facilitate information sharing across directorates, ensuring alignment with DoD frameworks
Support content document lifecycle management, including archiving and retrieval
Conduct training and outreach to promote best practices across teams
Collaborate with Information Technology (IT) and Security to ensure secure and efficient systems

Required:
Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
5+ years of experience in Knowledge Management, Information Management, or related fields within a DoD or federal environment
Associate or bachelor’s degree; in lieu of degree, additional 4 years of Knowledge Management experience is acceptable
Skilled in organizing and maintaining digital assets and documentation
Proficiency in tools like SharePoint, MS Teams, Confluence, TopVue or DoD-specific portals
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Familiarity with classified data handling
Desired:
5+ years’ experience directly supporting DoD personnel on space programs
1+ years’ experience with SATCOM systems, preferably MILSATCOM
Certification in Knowledge Management (e.g., CKM, KMI)
Knowledge of EIA-649-1, MIL-STD-973 and MIL-HDBK-61
Knowledge of DoD-5010-12-M and DoD-5015-2-STD
Familiarity with Information Technology (IT) and/or database management
Active Secret clearance or higher
Basic Compensation: $91,000 - $114,000 in California
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
