Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including custodial duties, commercial cleaning, and facilities maintenance. The Janitor will play a crucial role in upholding the standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our locations.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in designated areas.
- Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as required, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized and free from debris.
- Maintain floors through buffing and care procedures to enhance their appearance and longevity.
- Assist with residential painting projects as needed to support facility aesthetics.
- Carry out custodial duties such as emptying trash bins, cleaning restrooms, and replenishing supplies.
- Support porter duties by ensuring common areas are tidy and presentable at all times.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests from staff or management to address urgent needs.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment is advantageous.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning is a plus.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
