The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
As a Part Time Student Administrative Communications for John Deere Parts Distribution Center located in Milan, IL, you will….
- Curate and coordinate content for internal newsletters, including gathering stories, reports, and photos. Collaborate on layout design and manage the distribution process to ensure timely and engaging communication.
- Support photo and video production, including on-site shoots and post-production editing using approved platforms such as Adobe Rush, Vyond, and other company tools. Assist in creating high-quality visual content that aligns with brand standards and enhances internal communications.
- Provide support for a variety of events, including team meetings, employee engagement activities, and unit-wide initiatives—helping with planning, logistics, and on-site coordination to ensure smooth execution.
- Assist in sourcing relevant photos and information and contribute to the layout and visual design of presentations to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand standards.
- Ensure all communications, printed materials, and licensed products consistently reflect and adhere to John Deere’s brand standards and visual identity guidelines.
- Provide assistance across a variety of communications activities as needed, including content development, editing, coordination, and execution of internal messaging and engagement efforts.
This position is not available to students on immigration visas.
- Pursuing a degree in Communications. Other disciplines may be considered.
- Microsoft Office skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Good interpersonal and team communication skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and deploy projects on deadlines
- Must be registered as a full-time student at an accredited university.
- Graduation date of May 2026 or later
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
- Available to work 15 hours/week at the John Deere North American Parts Distribution Center in Milan, IL during the academic year, more hours available during the summer.
- Ability to learn and use video editing software such as Vyond and Adobe Rush
