The Salesforce Business Analyst will act as a key liaison between clients—primarily nonprofit organizations, but also other sectors—and our technical and consulting teams. You will gather and analyze business requirements, craft functional specifications, and facilitate the design and implementation of Salesforce solutions that support nonprofit operations, fundraising, program management, and outcome management, while also supporting clients from other industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with nonprofit clients to understand their business processes, challenges, and objectives.
- Work with clients from various sectors to elicit, document, and prioritize requirements.
- Provide strategic consulting on Salesforce best practices tailored to nonprofit workflows, as well as other industry-specific needs.
- Collaborate with development and consulting teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, configurations, and customizations.
- Conduct workshops, facilitate requirement gathering sessions, and maintain clear stakeholder communication.
- Develop user stories, process maps, functional specifications, and test cases.
- Support data migration, data quality initiatives, and reporting needs.
- Assist with testing, UAT, and user training to ensure successful adoption.
- Offer ongoing support and recommend continuous improvement opportunities.
- Stay updated on Salesforce platform developments and sector-specific trends, especially within the nonprofit industry.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within Salesforce environments.
- Experience working in software development, consulting, or client-facing roles in related industries.
- Proven experience working with nonprofit organizations; familiarity with nonprofit workflows and Salesforce NPSP/Nonprofit Cloud is highly desirable.
- Ability to work with clients across multiple sectors, adapting requirements gathering and solutions accordingly.
- Salesforce certifications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
- Experience with Salesforce integrations, data management, and reporting.
