Your responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with Production Operations leads to support hardware development and producibility initiatives
- Ensuring new designs are producible and cost-competitive in a full-rate manufacturing environment
- Evaluating designs and providing manufacturing feedback to lead to affordable and manufacturable designs
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful completion of major milestones
- Developing manufacturing readiness assessments and creating manufacturing plans

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an Interim Top Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in related engineering discipline
• A broad base of professional knowledge regarding electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical manufacturing
• Professional experience with product manufacturability, producibility, and design for cost
• Demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence in a professional setting
• Ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance; an Interim Top Secret clearance is required prior to start
• Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including to non-technical personnel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills:• Experience with the design and manufacturing of complex electromechanical systems
• Experience with mechanical assembly, manufacturing tooling design, factory design, and factory flow
• Related professional level career experience in production operations
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
• Experience in program development with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and leadership
• Experience in capacity & capital planning
• Understanding and wide application of assembly and test methods
• First Unit Flow planning & execution
• Statement of work and proposal development experience
• Experience with Make-Buy generation and strategy
• Experience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handling
Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) knowledge/experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
