Job Summary:
We’re looking for a subject matter expert to join our team and help our sales reps identify innovative solutions to our customers’ needs and expand our Audio Visual vendor network. As a Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and guidance on Classroom Audio, IFPs (Interactive Flat Panels), MPR Spaces, and related solutions for our sales team and customers. This individual will be responsible for helping drive revenue and margin towards the company goals while aligning strategic plans with our key vendor partners.

Duties/Responsibilities:
· New Product training for the sales team.
· Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, potential site walks, and proof-of-concepts (PoCs) for customers.
· Develop and design line drawings for customer spaces and projects.
· New product updates to Purchasing Dept and Sales Force Administrator
· Price approval within CPQ.
· Revenue and booking forecasting for the product categories overseen
· Collaborate with the STS Sales team to coordinate and make product recommendations.
· Work with the Sales Manager to manage the pipeline and make decisions for stocking orders.
· Conduct detailed discovery calls with customers and the sales reps to understand their
current environment, needs, gaps, and be able to make recommendations.
· Manage all deal registrations and work with the OEM to build and price projects.
· Work with the customer service team to ensure STS is approved as an ASP/OSS and
assist as needed in expediting cases when needed
· Identify and complete ongoing training & certifications necessary to deliver the best possible service to our customers
· Submit monthly sales reporting to all OEM as needed as well as SPIFF reporting monthly to sales reps and sales management
· Provide technical documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to school IT staff.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Education related technology experience preferred.
· High energy, self-motivated, proactive team player; demonstrated ability to provide innovative ideas to drive customer retention.
· Strong interpersonal skills and experience building strong internal and external relationships; strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Diplomacy, tact, and poise under pressure when working through customer issues.
· Proficient in MS Office Suite, Salesforce or like CRM system. (or whatever system is needed)
· Strong analytical skills - familiar with (add any system experience required)
· Familiar with contracts and terms of service.
Education and Experience:
· 3 Years of knowledge and experience with Manufacturers in the K-12 Space
· At least three years of relevant work experience, with a proven track record in a customer-facing role.
· Familiarity with front of classroom displays.
· Certifications: Extron AV Associate (or equivalent experience) is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel as required to customer sites, with occasional overnight stays.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and use office equipment, including computers and phones.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Office setting with occasional travel to customer sites, including industrial and commercial environments.
- Flexibility to work remotely, when necessary, with the expectation of occasional site visits for presentations, assessments, and training.
- Lift up to 25 pounds
Travel:
· As needed with manufacturers for QBR and/or other key meetings either onsite at STS or at their location.

Pay: From $68,000.00 per year
