C# .NET Engineer - Application Support
What does a successful C# .NET Engineer - Application Support do? At Fiserv, a C# .NET Engineer in the Application Support role provides crucial technical support and maintenance for our robust and scalable Windows applications. This position is key to ensuring system reliability and high performance, making significant contributions to our clients' operations by swiftly diagnosing and resolving issues.
What you will do:
- Maintain and support existing software systems by identifying defects and troubleshooting client tickets for Windows software applications using .NET framework (C#, .NET, Angular 2+, REST, Windows Forms).
- Develop and write basic SQL queries, review stored procedures, and manage database structures with a focus on Oracle databases.
- Analyze and design system requirements, standards, and specifications for integrated software solutions.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, business analysts, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Understand and utilize application logging, event logs, traces, and other diagnostic tools to ensure system reliability.
What you will need to have:
- 4+ years of experience with C#, .NET, and Windows Forms.
- 4+ years of experience working with Oracle databases, developing basic SQL queries, and reviewing stored procedures.
- 3+ years of experience with front-end technologies such as Angular 2+, REST, and JavaScript.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant field, and/or equivalent military experience.
What would be great to have:
- 3+ years of experience with Version Control Systems such as TFS or Git.
- 3+ years of experience with RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience within the banking or financial services domain.
