The opportunity
This opportunity ensures you will be using your QA engineering skills to make a meaningful contribution developing capabilities in support of our National Intelligence Community partner the Australian Signals Directorate - ASD. You will join a high functioning motivated team exploring technologies & solutions only this niche intelligence environment can provide. Your day-to-day role will include:
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather, define, and document requirements for software development projects.
- Partner with Software Engineers to deliver high-impact solutions and ensure timely task completion.
- Design and implement automated integration and end-to-end test suites to verify and validate our systems.
- Contribute to system architecture and design, including logical modelling and interface definitions.
- Collaborate within a cross-functional Agile team using Scrum methodology.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, helping them grow while sharpening your leadership skills.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and hands-on experience working in an AGILE environment.
- Experience in release planning and a proactive mindset when it comes to project delivery.
- Skilled in building test automation frameworks with tools like Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- A strong background in Software Quality Assurance, with a passion for excellence.
- Excellent planning, communication, and collaboration skills
- Completed or undertaking technical education from an accredited course of study in Information Technology/Computer Science (e.g. Bachelor) or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements. This role requires the successful applicant to obtain an Australian Government POSITIVE VETTING Security Clearance.
