Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Financial Analyst to join our dynamic Finance team. The Principal Financial Analyst will play a key role in providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support decision-making in support of the Government Defense & Intelligence organization. This individual will be responsible for managing financial forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and data analysis, while collaborating with senior leadership to ensure the financial health of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling processes. Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial projections, and provide actionable insights based on the analysis of financial data.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring they meet internal and external reporting requirements. Identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to support strategic decisions.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Engineering, etc.) to provide financial insights that drive business performance. Assist department heads with budget management and cost control.
- Data Analysis & Decision Support: Conduct thorough financial analyses, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and cost-benefit analysis to support business case decisions. Provide recommendations for improvement based on findings.
- Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks to the organization and recommend mitigation strategies. Stay updated on market trends, economic conditions, and industry developments to inform risk assessments.
- Process Improvement: Proactively identify areas for improving financial processes and systems. Work with management to implement best practices and streamline financial operations.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis & Special Projects: Take ownership of ad-hoc financial analysis, and assist with special projects, due diligence, and strategic initiatives as needed by the leadership team.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- 10 plus years relevant work experience in FP&A, financial reporting, business partnering, data analysis, and process improvements.
- BS/BA in Accounting/Finance preferred. CPA/MBA desired.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and proficiency in Oracle Financials.
- Strong analysis and research skills. Ability to partner across functions.
Responsibilities
As a member of Oracle's finance organization, you will be responsible for providing all aspects of financial support for planning and control. Assist in the consolidation and reporting of weekly, and quarterly financial results, with specific focus on OPEX reporting. Must be comfortable in engaging fully in the preparation of annual budgets. Gather, model, analyze, prepare, and summarize information for financial plans, operating forecasts, trended future specifications, etc.; on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. Prepares recommendations based on analyzes. Additionally, may perform revenue and bookings analysis, headcount and headcount driven expense analysis at cost center level, tracking of product and product line revenue, variance analysis and ad-hoc analysis as needed. You may participate in cross functional programs and projects.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $84,500 - $178,100 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
