What you'll do
As the Sr. Learning & Development Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping Docusign's employee landscape, designing and implementing world-class development programs that empower our leaders and employees to embody our values, drive innovation, and lead with empathy and effectiveness in a rapidly evolving global environment. You will play a key role in cultivating a robust leadership pipeline that supports our ambitious growth and strengthens our culture.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Sr. Director, Learning & Development.
Responsibility
Conduct comprehensive needs assessments in partnership with HR Business Partners and senior leaders to identify critical leadership capabilities and development gaps across all levels (e.g., emerging leaders, frontline managers, senior executives)
Design, develop, and implement innovative, scalable, and impactful leadership development programs, workshops, and learning experiences that align with Docusign's values and strategic priorities (e.g., formal training, experiential learning, coaching, mentoring, peer learning networks, simulations)
Incorporate cutting-edge adult learning principles, neuroscience, and leadership theories into all program designs, ensuring relevance and effectiveness
Lead the selection and management of external vendors, consultants, and executive coaches, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective partnerships
Facilitate high-impact leadership development workshops and training sessions for diverse global audiences, fostering an engaging and interactive learning environment
Provide coaching and guidance to leaders, supporting their individual development journeys and enhancing their leadership effectiveness
Build strong relationships with internal subject matter experts to leverage internal knowledge and talent in program delivery
Develop and implement robust evaluation methodologies and metrics to assess the effectiveness, business impact, and ROI of all leadership development initiatives
Analyze program data and feedback to identify trends, generate actionable insights, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement and evolution of programs.
Communicate program successes, challenges, and strategic direction to key stakeholders and senior leadership
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with HR Business Partners, senior leadership, and other cross-functional teams to ensure leadership development initiatives are integrated, supported, and aligned with organizational goals
Act as a trusted advisor to leaders on leadership development best practices, trends, and solutions
Champion a culture of continuous learning, growth, and feedback throughout the organization
Curate and develop compelling learning content, including presentations, facilitator guides, participant materials, and digital learning resources
Leverage Docusign's internal learning technologies (LMS, collaboration tools, etc.) to optimize program delivery, accessibility, and learner engagement
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business
- Administration, or a related field
- 12+ years of progressive experience in leadership development, organizational development, or talent management
- 3+ years in a senior or lead role within a fast-paced, global technology environment
Preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in the end-to-end design, development, delivery, and evaluation of multi-level leadership development programs
- Exceptional instructional design skills with a deep understanding of adult learning principles and modern learning methodologies
- Outstanding facilitation, presentation, and public speaking skills, with the ability to inspire and engage diverse groups of leaders
- Proven ability to coach and mentor leaders, fostering their growth and effectiveness
- Experience with various leadership assessment tools (e.g., 360-degree feedback, behavioral assessments) and their application in development
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and influencing skills, capable of building rapport and trust at all levels
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify insights, and make data-driven recommendations
- Certifications in coaching (e.g., ICF), organizational development, or specific leadership assessment instruments
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization with diverse leadership styles and needs
- Familiarity with change management methodologies and their application in leadership development initiatives
- A demonstrated passion for technology and its role in transforming business processes, aligning with Docusign's core offerings
Wage Transparency
Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:
California: $140,000.00 - $225,075.00 base salary
Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $133,800.00 - $197,750.00 base salary
This role is also eligible for the following:
- Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
- Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
