About Your Role
You will drive complex technical troubleshooting efforts in a command center setting by leveraging observability tools. This role combines your technical expertise along with a fact-based data-driven, troubleshooting approach to quickly find the fault domain of issues that may span multiple technology stacks. This includes implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
What you’ll do:
- Provide in-depth technical troubleshooting and analysis of complex issues across a large global enterprise environment
- Work with a client first attitude with the ability to work well under high pressure and stressful situations to deliver outstanding customer service
- Collaborate with peers and other technology experts across the firm (network, server, database, application, cloud)
- Participate in an on-call rotation as needed
Experience you’ll need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in systems and/or network engineering role with a full understanding of IP, TCP, and UDP
- 4+ years of troubleshooting complex systems at an enterprise level
- 3+ years with enterprise tools such as Dynatrace, Extrahop, Splunk, and Wireshark
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
Experience that would be great to have:
- Experience with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell
- Industry certifications such as Wireshark Certified Analyst (WCA) or Worldwide Certified Network Analyst (WCNA)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the desire to continue learning about all different types of technologies and gain satisfaction from solving problems
- Be curious about how things work and why they work
- Ability to mentor and train others in analysis and troubleshooting
How you’ll work:
- This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis
- This role requires flexibility to work overtime that includes weekends and holidays
- This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment
